This weekend, along with finishing products and printing and laminating some of the great stuff I got during the back to school sale, I worked on one of my literacy centers. Last year during part of the year I had a center with a cookie sheet and magnetic letters and like 1 activity for students to do besides for just putting letter in ABC order and matching upper and lowercase letters. I decided I needed to redo the center and find some cute activities for it. This is one reason why I love TPT, because I found lots of different things that I could use for this center. So this led to my
Monday Made It for this week- alphabet letters for my magnet center.

Letters I printed to be my magnetic letters |
This weekend I printed out these cute polka dot letters (I printed them so that 2 pages were on one sheet of paper so that way they would be small enough to use on the cookie sheets) (also if anyone knows who created this polka dot letters please let me know so that I can give them credit, there wasn't a name/blog/store listed in the file). Then I laminated them, cut them out and then placed them onto sticky magnetic sheets and then cut them out again. They turned out really cute! I need to buy another thing of magnetic sheets because I ran out when I got to S.

Next I want to get another cookie sheet so that students can work in pairs. I also want to spray them and make them pretty colors. Then I get to work on creating some activities to use with the letters.
Do you have a center like this? What are some of the activities that you have for it?
I too am working on literacy centers. This will be a great one to add. Thank you for sharing!
