"Let's Look at Snails"

After learning all about snails we made our own snail. One of the goals was to try and make a swirl pattern on the snail's shell.
To make the snail craft you need a paper plate, construction paper, tissue paper and glue.
Some of the students drew a swirl on their plate, others just went for it and did pretty well at keeping the swirl shape.

Did you know that snails can not smell?
Snails hibernate during the winter.
Snails can live for 15-20 years (the ones that are pets).
I've also linked this craft up with 4th Grade Frolics Monday Made It! I can't wait to check out what everyone else has made.
